With this approach PHI does not merely make herbal products; it builds an innovation ecosystem around Indonesian natural materials — consumer products, industrial ingredients, process technology, and product development services.

Our story

It began in the laboratory, not in the market

PHI grew out of natural product research in Bandung academia — fermentation, material characterisation, and the search for new value in biomass long treated as residue.

One question kept returning in a modest laboratory: if ramie leaf has interesting properties, why does it end up as waste from fibre harvesting? PHI’s first product line was born from that question.

That research-to-product path became the way PHI works, and is now offered to other companies as a service.
